I love Mason's music and you will too. July is a good time for us to celebrate our American heritage and freedom. It is a time for us to reflect about all the unsung heroes, both alive and fallen, who have defended our great country in the name of freedom. Not only is this going to a great concert but Mason has the right stuff to make this performance a memorable tribute to our military service men and women. This will truly be a concert to remember for a very long time. Here is Jason's bio...
In a time where everything you hear on the radio has long sounded the same, ladies and gentlemen: help has finally arrived. Mason Douglas, a Tucson, AZ native currently making his home in Nashville, TN, has already begun to make his mark by amassing a diverse following of loyal fans of country music, along with acoustic, soul, and pop. Drawing influence from the likes of Patty Griffin, Radney Foster, Rob Thomas, Chris Isaak, and Garth Brooks, Mason Douglas is bringing back the focus on the song, the songwriter, and an unforgettable performance to fuse the two. With an incomparable voice, a rugged yet distinguished image, and an ultimately dynamic stage presence, Mason has become one of country music's newest and hottest artists.
In 2007, Mason's original song "Home Free", gained national media attention and airplay throughout the USA on the syndicated "Big D & Bubba Show", opening the airwaves for other Mason Douglas songs like "Beautiful You" and "The Blues Never Looked Good On You". That year also found him sharing audiences with other popular artists such as Trace Adkins, Terri Clark, Jewel, James Otto, Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson, bringing his extraordinary energy and voice to larger and larger crowds throughout the USA. When asked about his rising status, Douglas says "As long as they're listening, I'll be playing".
Aside than his extraordinary love for music and performing, Mason Douglas is inspired and motivated everyday by a truly unique event that he experienced in February of 2000. Brand new to Nashville, Mason happened to meet one of his true idols at the world famous Bluebird Café in Nashville: Garth Brooks. Garth personally told Mason to "stick with it, no matter what" to which Mason promised, "I will". To this day, Mason Douglas has kept his promise. Take a listen and you'll understand why we should all be glad he did.
